The character itself is not the one that is fighting you in an Attack or a 'Rob'. Let's say you keep getting beat up by Player A. So you put Player A on the hit list, someone kills them and you then try to Rob or Attack them. You will still lose. Remember this is a Mafia styled game which means that it's a 'family' you are competing with and against. Here's how the basic attack/rob process works. Let's say you have 20 members in your mafia. The only thing your members bring to your attacks, robs or defense is their characters Attack and Defense skill points. You must outfit the members of your mafia with the weapons and armor and such that you own. If you only have 2 Chain Guns and 3 Shotguns and 30 pistols, then 25 of your mafia members will be 'fighting or defending' with pistols. Likewise if you only have 3 bullet proof vest then only 3 members will be using them. So, to the original question. When you attack player A, you are attacking his/her whole mafia and if they are better outfitted than you or have a higher number of members in their family, you will constantly lose. The only way to change this is to add members and add to your weapon and armor inventories.
