it sounds like he did it to put a guilt trip on you if this is the case he needs help mental help with a physcolotrist (sorry dont know how to spell) and you should not go back with him for that reason only if you love him. if it was just an accident that sent him to the hospital sure go see him show him you care even if you dont love him just that you care for him.
