You just changed a broken timing chain in a 2000 cavalier with a 2.2 it cranks and fires a little but will not start does it matter if the cam is 180 degrees off?

Yes. This means it is way out of time and will not ever start. It must be put back 180 degrees.

On one had you say it cranks and then you say it won't turn over. Which is it? If it cranks, then that means it IS turning over but just won't start. If it won't crank then it is NOT turning over. you have a passkey problem. you will likely have to visit a dealer i had to replace it in my car without labor the part cost 256.00 you have to have it coded also.
