You just noticed a lump where your Atlas C1 bone is and no one else you checked has the same so you know it isn't a normal lump any ideas?

I doubt one would be able to notice a lump where your C1 vertebra is located. It is right beneath your skull (foramen magnum) and embedded in quite a bit of flesh. If it feels tender, it's probably a swollen lymph node due to a virus such as mononucleosis. Otherwise, who knows. Go to a doctor if you're really worried.
