Yes.
it's under the back seat. Replace it like any other battery, it's just in a weird location.
You just need to remove the back cover, it does require using a paper clip to release the back and replace it with a watch battery. You can get a watch battery at any pharmacy.
Check, or have someone check, the battery connections both at the battery and the other ends to make sure they are tightly connected. Check that that you or the other drivers are not leaving something on in your Envoy. Just prior to turning off the engine, turn everything off including the radio, interior lights, etc. Once you're sure you have a good battery in it...Have someplace do a free diagnostic check on the battery, starter, and charging system. Some parts stores will do it to. When the battery is good and fully charged is when it will be easiest to find what else is going on.
The starter location on a 2002 GMC Envoy is on the passenger side of the engine compartment. It is just below the manifold. Both the starter and starter solenoid are located here.
Yes you can just change the battery
replace it just like any car battery
Just had to do this on my own envoy......You reach under the rear bumber and the light assembly simply unscrews from the housing. You replace the bulb and screw it back in. Takes 5 minutes.
You have to remove the battery, then the frame holding the battery and the fuse box. After that you can remove the cover to access the bulbs. Its an annoying hassle just to replace the bulb.
Just replace the battery if you suspect it is low.
If the battery is defective there's no way to fix the battery must just replace the battery.
Along the drivers side frame rail just ahead of the tank.
Just call Parts, the battery costs $6.00 you can replace it yourself.
