The girl in this situation is pretty much out of luck - she can't force the guy to like her, and the more she tries the more he's going to not like her. The best option is to take a deep breath and let go of the hopes for a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship at this point in time - it isn't going to happen. Settle for being friends, and if that hurts too much then walk away - you'll be happier in the long run.
