There are a few answers/approaches to this situation that I would recommend, but, none are easy.

1) Tell her how you FEEL. Work with her, but don't be too blunt about it, be casual. No girl likes to be put into a situation where they can't figure things out.

2) Tell your friend how you feel. If he is truly your friend, he will back off, or at least give you a chance. If he does not, then what kind of friend is he? Obviously not one you need in your life!

3) MOVE ON! As the old saying goes, there are PLENTY of fish in the sea. No girl is worth working yourself to death for. Also, if this entire situation is present, that could also mean you did not have it in you to ask the girl on a date, and your friend did. Also, you can try to wait on her, which may work, or may not work.

if you like her and your positive that she likes you then let her know.

but if she is still committed to her boyfriend then wait for their relationship to run its natural course and then if you are still positive that she likes you, ask her out to a movie or something and see how it goes. a girl doesn't like anything more than when the girl that she likes asks her out and if she shuts you down she obviously didn't like you as much as you thought.

Don't mess with it, just wait she might break up with him or something. Let her come to you.

just be a really good friend to her

always be there for her when she needs you or when she has a problem

eventually she will learn to trust you and love you as friend, then, if something happens with her and her boyfriend, be there to comfort her and let her know that everything is going to be ok

but dont rush to ask her out after the breakup, you dont want her to think you are being pushy, wait a few weeks first, you DONT want to be a rebound.
