I have british citizenship but I have lost my certificate where can get a replacement?
If you were born in the UK, your birth certificate will confirm that you are British. If you have lost it, you can apply for a copy. It you are British by naturalisation, your certificate will prove it.
No, both are two different documents. The Citizenship certificate has its own number and so is the passport. If lost or stolen you need to get the replacements.
If you are a US citizen by birth to US citizen parents you would have to file the Form N-600 to get the Certificate of Citizenship as proof for US citizenship. Else after successful completion of naturalization process a naturalization certificate would be given as proof for US citizenship.
what direction should the picture be taken?
The United States Constitution. As proof of being a US citizen, if you are a US citizen by birth right you would get the citizenship certificate as proof for citizenship. In case you naturalized you would be given the naturalization certificate as proof for US citizenship.Using the USCIS Form N-600 you could apply for a certificate or Form N-565 to replace a lost or stolen one. This certificate is best proof of your US citizen status.
you can take a citizenship test
If your certificate of citizenship is lost, damaged or mutilated then you need to file Form N-565 to replace it with a new one. You need to submit the damaged certificate also along with Form N-565. Two passport sized photographs ( recently taken ) should also be attached.
If you can remember it's name and when you got it then you have no problem just ask them to look in their records and you will get a new birth certificate. But if you can't remember when you got it or what it's name is, bring in the animal in and have them scan the tag on their computer, hopefully it will be in their records and they can copy the information and print you a new certificate!
If your parents were born in Romania, they are quite likely Romanian (or were) at time of birth. First step is for at least one of them to go to a Romanian embassy/consulate and fill out a form requesting their birth certificate(s). Next step is for them to fill out a clarification form whereby they seek to clarify whether they had Romanian citizenship, and if so, did they ever lose it. If a determination is made that they did not lose their Romanian citizenship, then you have a birthright to Romanian citizenship. If they had, and subsequesntly lost, Romanian citizenship, then they (and you and your children) have the right to regain Romanian citizenship (in this case knowledge of the Romanian citizenship is a requirement). Hope that helps.
