You sometimes smell gasoline fumes in side the cabin of your 1995 Nissan Maxima what could be the cause other than the fuel filter which you just replaced?

On a 1995 Nissan Maxima there is a piece or 5-6" rubber that cracks in the winter and will create the smell of gas fumes inside the cabin. The piece is located on the passenger side just to the left of the valve cover. fallow the fuel rail and you will see it or in the morning when you start up the vehicle, grab a flashlight and look in that general direction. Your nose should guide you right to the spot. In the winter I use (Heet) this seems to help with it not cracking. Good luck!
