You started your 1997 f-150 and everything was running fine until you shut it off and now the starter is not working you have heard this is not a problem with the starter Any specific ideas?

You should check the soleniod by the battery mounted on the fender if that is not the problem the it is probably the soleniod on the starter. Had the same problem on mine until i tap the soleniod on the starter.
