Swelling shows an allergic reaction much like the reaction to a mosquito bite; this normally will go away by itself, eventually. If, however, an infection develops, then you would need medical treatment.

∙ 13y agoIt all depends on what kind of spider bit you. But right now I have a spider bite on my leg and I didn't know what spider bit me until I found out. It itched really badly all I did was put on some ice to numb it and then wile it's numb u scratch so all the stuff the spider has injected can come out along with some blood
