Swelling shows an allergic reaction much like the reaction to a mosquito bite; this normally will go away by itself, eventually. If, however, an infection develops, then you would need medical treatment.

It all depends on what kind of spider bit you. But right now I have a spider bite on my leg and I didn't know what spider bit me until I found out. It itched really badly all I did was put on some ice to numb it and then wile it's numb u scratch so all the stuff the spider has injected can come out along with some blood

Put alcoholic on it and take Benadryl on the wound
