Depending on the car it could be a fuse. If it happens to be a mid 90's Honda most likely the ashtray light hot wire and cig lighter wire shorted and fused. No idea why mid 90's Hondas do this with cell phone chargers, but I see at least 4 a year.
Check your fuses in your fuse panel usually that is what is wrong when cigarette lighters and radios quit working.
Most likely the fuse is blown, many cars have the cigar lighter and the radio on the same circut.
I had broken out the fuse on my cigarrette lighter as well as the radio. I found the cigarette lighter fuse labeled "ACC" under the panel on the drivers side. I replaced it and now my radio still doesn't work, but the charger does. ......... So I answered half of your question, anyone know what I should do about the radio?
I had the same problem and it was found that the built in radio/CD player was the problem, I had to replace the radio and cigarette lighter. All is well now, check out your radio as fuses kept blowing till i changed the radio.
Under the radio in the center of the dash.
Lighter or radio.

depends on the vehicle some are some are not
its the fuse
its labeled as the panel or acc or radio
The radio and the cigarette lighter are on the same fuse, I would check the fuse first.
The cig lighter fuse runs on the same fuses as the dome light and radio.
