That sounds like your timing is off. Adjust it at the distributor cap with a timing light.
Remove the egr valve from the tracker. The valve can be soaked with carburetor cleaner, to loosen stuck material, Wipe out loose build up, then wash with carburetor and allow to air dry. Re install the now cleaned valve.
Bad fuel, sediment in the tank, blocked or partially blocked fuel filter, carburetor getting plugged. Drain the fuel and put in fresh, then add a tablespoon of acetone as a carb cleaner. DON'T GET ANY ON THE PAINT!!!!
Although I cannot be specific with this make and model, this trick has worked on numerous vehicles over the years. Disconnect the fuel line and unscrew the drain plug, which is located on the side or bottom of the carburetor bowl. Drain as much gas out as possible. Also drain and clean the fuel strainer and clean it with carburetor cleaner. Now either spray or pour carburetor cleaner into the fuel line and let it drain through the carburetor. At first it may not drain, but as it removes the varnish and gunk it should soon begin to flow. For really stubborn and a through cleaning of the carburetor you can replace the plug and fill the fuel line with cleaner and let it sit. I've done this in chainsaws, boats, bikes and cars over the years and have always fixed the problem.
you cant they are all preset and dont use carb cleaner it will ruin ur seals use a ultrasonic cleaner to clean it if u can find one to use ..... i replaced my carb for like 10 bucks and runs great now

Fuel injection is cleaner and more reliable as well as easier to monitor by the onboards, there's a reason the automotive industry moved from carbs to throttle bodies then fuel injection and it's the standard now.

If your talking about the contact cleaner that is to be used overnight then no. I put contact cleaner instead of saline solution in my eye and now i have to wear glasses for a week because my eye is bloodshot red and and highly irritated
The electronic choke wiring goes directly to the back side of the alternator on the top to be specific with a plastic terminal plug in.In short it engages when the key is turned ON.I happen to be working on my 87 with the air cleaner removed and traced it being I recall this being asked here!Easy enough.I have doubts that is your problem and probably the carburetor needs to be CLEANED and lube the linkage with liquid wrench penetrating fluid and use some carburetor cleaner and suggest using brake cleaner (only on the outside of the carburetor) to remove buildup.This should clear up any issues with high idle stuck or not engaging as is a normal issue with these mikuni carbs. I know this because I have owned my truck since new 23 years now!
