Well, it all depends on WHICH les paul. Epiphone makes a few models of them varying in price.
Given at the same price range, I'd go with the les paul because it has more of a varience of genre's it can play. However, if your going to be playing metal, rock, alternative, you might consider the g400 (SG looking model).
Neither of these would be my first choice in this price range, check out the Paul Reed Smith SE Custom 22 Electric Guitar. Its going to give a better sound for about 30 more $.
i would recommend a les paul.... i have a sg g-400 and iys not as cool as my friends les paul
Its depend of what kind of music you like. ill prefer the les paul costume or a dot
you cant without ruining it sorry :( -- well paying someone to do it
Depends, if you want a deep, resonant tone, go for the Epiphone Les Paul Custom. If you want a good, hard rock sound to it go with an Epiphone Les Paul standard. However both are good for rock and metal ect.Steer well away of the -£300 bunch, they are very poor compared to the higher end models.Epiphone Les Paul Custom £470Epiphone Les Paul Standard £400:)
