Someone files for bankruptcy themself...so you would know if you did it. Its a big, big deal...a legal proceeding and process...that takes a long time

You are not supposed to do this. You need to list all of your debt. In all likelihood, what will probably happen is that the credit card will find out about it anyway and cancel the card. Even if you have a 0 balance, the credit card will probably take it upon themselves and cancel the card.
If one files for bankruptcy in the United States, you do not have to prove that you are, and you do not have to be insolvent. Therefore, you are bankruptcy in a legal sense if you filed for bankruptcy. If you want to prove that you are NOT bankrupt all you have to show is that you have not filed for bankruptcy. If you meant insolvent, rather than bankruptcy, to prove that you are not insolvent you would have to show that your income exceeded your debts.
In the US, at least, you don't file bankruptcy against specific loans, you file bankruptcy in general. You do have to list all your assets and debts as a part of the filing. So, technically the answer is "no", but ignoring that for a moment, why on Earth would you want to do such a ridiculous thing as spend filing and attorney's fees on a debt you don't owe any money on? However, the fact that you have a loan you don't owe anything on (most people do) doesn't stop you from filing bankruptcy.
If you have just filed bankruptcy, you will not be barred from ever obtaining a mortgage loan; however, you will not be able to get one immediately. When you can get a mortgage after bankruptcy will depend upon the type of loan you want, the type of bankruptcy you filed, and how good your credit is at the time you want the loan.
As a cosigner, you are not at all protected if the primary signer files for bankruptcy. In many cases, filing for bankruptcy relieves the primary signer on the loan from his obligations towards the loan, at which point the lender will turn to the cosigner for payment. You'll either have to pay the loan or file for your own bankruptcy (if necessary).Unfortunately, you're stuck with the loan regardless of whether or not the primary signer successfully completes his bankruptcy filling. You may want to contact a bankruptcy lawyer for some additional advice or assistance.

There is a perfectly good laundry list of bankruptcy exemptions in Arizona, and you can find them easily. Just go to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court website, and look at the FAQs (the frequently asked questions). Those come in three clumps, and the second one is "debtor questions"; that's what you're looking for. Go to question 15, and there's a nice, official list of Arizona Bankruptcy Exemptions. Enjoy! And if you want to see a discussion of Arizona bankruptcy exemptions, and most topics associated with Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases in Arizona, feel free to go to my bankruptcy blog. I'm Joseph C. McDaniel, and I'm an Arizona bankruptcy lawyer.
