Can dogs sense storms?

not in the literal sense. dogs most certainly pick up clues through their senses, whether it is sight (your hesitation), sound (they can hear a hearbeat from five feet away), or smell (your sweat-humans give off a stress hormone) allowing them to perceive your fear. http://zebra.sc.edu/smell/ann/myth5.html yes dogs can smell fear and that is why if you are scared by a dog the dog will run after you. This is because they sense your fear and think that they need to run as well whether it be that it thinks you are the thing to be afraid of or it will search for something to be afraid of and sometimes can't defrentiate between you and what to be afraid of. Also say there was an intruder in your home the dog will not only sense the intruder but they also sense that you know it's an intruder so they will know what to do. I hope that answers your question. diffently!my friend has a dog(small dog) that bite me and now im so scared of it!so every time i come near it it bites me!

How do you cure diarrhea in dogs?

I have a dog as well who got very sick last weekend. He was throwing up and had REALLY bad diarrhea. We didn't really know what to do, so we gave him Peptobismal. I know it sounds crazy giving Pepto to a dog but that's what they give dogs at hospitals. Thank god for Pepto. Just give your dog a tablespoon of Pepto. If it's not that that bad than just give him a teaspoon. Hope your dog gets better. When our wimeranna gets sick, we give him rice and chicken he loves it and it really does help. The vets said that it is very common for dogs to be traumatized easily, he is a real wimp and is afraid of storms and fireworks, if there is one, max gets very afraid and it causes him to often vomit or have extremely bad diarrhea there is often blood in it too. We really panicked the first time but we called the vet and she said just calm down and don't show the dog you are afraid. Of course if could be that he/she has eaten something which is cutting her stomach up so its always best to seek the advice of your vet. We just cook up some rice and chicken, wait for it to cool complete and then give it to him. Within 12 hours he is usually fine but remember vets know best.

Why does my dog shake bad when it storms or rides in a car?

Your dog is likely scared or very anxious. With storms, it is likely that he or she is afraid of the loud noises, and with the car it is likely that your dog has had bad experiences either during or immediately after a car ride before. Dogs have very good memories for these sorts of things. You should contact an expert on dog behavior and see if they can help you help your dog feel more comfortable in these situations.

How are tsunamis and hurricanes created in Hawaii?

CORRECTED: Hurricanes are storms that happen in the Atlantic (East Coast). Typhoons are storms (hurricanes) that happen in the Pacific (West Coast). Why they are called something different I do not know. Yet, both storms are created in the same manner as all storms, only being over water, they become more tumultuous.Tsunamis are waves, and are not associated with storms, but earthquakes. When there is a shift in the ocean floor, of course it causes waves. The severity of the shift is a direct affect on the severity of the wave.Poseidon makes them.
