Dirt in the carb, Dirty plugged up fuel filter, Dirty plugged up air filter,
My 1998 E320 did this. Dealer charged me $1,100 for the fuel pump and filter.
mite be fuel filter. either old or clogged up.
Most often than not, an engine that stalls a few minutes after it starts is due to fuel starvation. Check the fuel filter and ensure it is clean. If the fuel filter is okay, open the carburetor needle valve about 1/8 turn for a slightly richer mixture.
My 1998 E320 did this and it was the fuel pump. The dealer also replaced the filter and it was $1,100.
Impossible to say but I'd check/replace the fuel filter. It's cheap to do and if it doesn't help you've lost nothing.
I would change your fuel filter
Check the fuel filter. If it is the original, change it. If that doesn't help, find a mechanic.
change fuel filter
Sounds like gas filter getting plugged with rust or something. Then after being down for while the rust falls off filter and starts until gas pressure plugs the filter again with dirt or rust or whatever.
Check the air filter to see if it is stopped up. Check all the vacuum hoses for a leak. Replace the PCV valve.
Dirty injectors.
