If it's getting no spark, use a code scanner to see what the computer reports. Typically the computer will be able to detect electrical problems and tell you what's wrong.

Broken timing chain or belt
small journal cranks can be ground to a minimum of 1.9585 (rod journals) big journal cranks 2.0685 ( rod journals)
If your Honda CRV cranks but won't turn over because the spark plugs are not getting spark, ensure the wires are connected. A loose spark plug wire can cause this issue.

fuel pump could have gone bad , does it have fuel in the tank ?
Check for spark and fuel. You are not getting one of those.
I would replace the ignetion module that is in the distributor.
Check for clogged fuel filter; check coil, alternator/generator.

it is easier to pedal with longer cranks because you have more leverage but it is not necessarily better to have really long cranks.
