Your 1997 accord wont drive right when you shift from park to Drive anything it does not engauge kinda like being in N sometimes it will go in as u drive it pops out of gear you changed the speen sens?

I am also learning about 97 accord tranny stuff. Try changing the fluid. Use Dextron III, It just like change oil. Open drain plug using a 3/8 ratchet. The plug is located in the pass. side under the front of car. The bolt has a recessed square in it, and is facing the pass tire. Just drain and refill. If you have 90K + mile i also reccommed lucas oil trans addtive. www.devicoservices.com
