Your 2001 grand am gt will not start the battery is ok the fuses are ok it gets fuel to the motor it has spark to the cylinders and the cam is turning what could this problem be please help?

Read and article on the internet somewhere that said that 2001 Grand Ams come with a "bug" in the remote keyless entry system and that there really is no known cause or fix other than to reset the computer by turning the key to the on position and leaving it that way for 10 minutes. take the key out and then reinsert and it should start. Was minutes away from having my car towed to the dealership when I found this and it worked. My advice would be to try it before putting a whole bunch of money into it. Security System problem I had the same problem and found out it was the ignition switch causing the security light to light up. I took my car to the dealership and they stated it was the ignition switch. It cost roughly $700 to change out, but I haven't had that problem again. This happened to me one time and it turned out that the car had ran out of gas. However, the fuel gauge was reading over a quarter tank. So first thing make sure you have gas in the car because this is a common problem with a grand am to have a faulty gauge. It will still appear that the engine is getting gas in most cases because it partially is....just not a sufficient amount.

You have given exactly zero information to help solve your problem. Please try to give some more information on what is or is not happening, what it is doing and what you expect it to do. Generally if a car doesn't crank problem is battery, solenoid or starter. If the car cranks but does not start then the problem is most likely either fuel or spark.
