You actually have two oil indicator lights in the 95 Chevy Cavilier, a Check Oil Light, which glows yellow to indicate a condition that while not serious, could become serous if ignored and the Oil Light that looks like a glowing tea pot, which glows red to indicate a serious condition needing immediate attention. That is the oil pressure lamp.
The Check Oil light indicates low oil level. Usually it comes on when the oil level is down a quart or more. Check your oi level and if it is low, simply add oil to top it off and the lamp should go out
The oil pressure light, on the other hand, is a more serious condition indicating low oil pressure. This comes on either when your oil level is extremely low, (in which case the check oil light is also illuminated), or a bad or failing oil pump
