the same thing happened to me you should cut off the catalytic converter it is probable clogged.
From past expirence it could be your knock sensor. Most blazers from 89 to 99 had there knock sensor tied into the thermistat. So when the motor gets hot the sensor begins working and trys to compensate and keep it from knocking if the sensor isn't working then your going to get rough running and possible kncok check that. also check you egr valve and pcv valve they tend to get cloged. If it smells realy bad when it warms up you catalatic converter may be cloged check that to. If all else fails start pulling codes.
The 4.3L engine has two fuel injectors located in the throttle body.
It cuts fuel to the injectors if the ignition switch has been tampered with. Goes through a 10 amp fuse labeled "TBC." in the engine compartment fuse box.
I have the same problem I changed the fuel pump and the ignition coil also changed the igition module, still the same problem engine turns over but wont fire, still no spark and no fuel getting through, was wondering if theres a sensor that turns everything off?? 1991 s10 owner email tileguy@mail.com
Have vehicle scanned to determine problem
There is a problem with the emmission system are transmission and the computer turns the engine light on to let you know there's a problem. Have engine scanned with a OBDII engine scanner.
wiil a 1999 blazer engine fit a 2002 blazer
V6 engine - 6 fuel injectors V8 engine - 8 fuel injectors
Engine coolant sensor may be bad
In order to answer this you need to be more specific as to what fuel problem you are having. Is it a fuel pressure problem? or a fuel injector problem. I would suggest you go get the fuel pressure checked to begin with. That can usually tell you if the fuel problem is from the fuel tank to the fuel rail or if the problem may lie in the fuel injectors. A weak fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter may be the culprit. If your pump is good and the filter is clean, then one or more injectors may be clogged not allowing the fuel to get to a cylinder. The fuel pumps job is to deliver the fuel to the injectors, the fuel injectors are designed to deliver the fuel to the engine beit through a throttle body or a bank of injectors or single injectors made for each cylinder. Start with a fuel pressure test and see where that leads and then come back and repost.
There is a fuel diagram for a 94-95 Chevy Blazer with a CPI 4.3 Vortec engine in the service manual. It shows the path the fuel travels from the fuel tank all the way to the injectors.
There could be many causes to this problem. A few things that could cause it would be, the fuel is not getting to the engine, meaning a problem with the fuel system (injectors, pump or filter), there is not enough electricity getting through the engine, or an o2 sensor going out.
If your VW Golf engine cuts out, there may be an issue with the fuel filter or injectors. You might also have a problem with the distributor in the electrical system.
