My Nerf raider stopped working. I cant pull the cocking mechanism back. how can i fix it?

In my experience this is caused by one of 2 things.
1: The bolt sled getting pulled to one side and jamming. Try pulling your cocking handle back with both hands and see if that works.
2: The plunger catch has snapped off on the inside and you've got a dead Raider. Check to see if it's rattling when you shake it, if it does then you're stuffed. The best way to deal with the problem is to open the gun up and stick the broken plunger piece back on the plunger using either epoxy resin or superglue. Note this is a short term fix seeing as glue isn't as strong as plastic. The best way to solve it would be to replace the plunger with a new one from another Raider or buy an aluminum one from a company online.

∙ 13y agoThe springs might be broken, or something might be clogging the weapon like some gum or something. You should take the blaster apart and see if anything is wrong.

It's a function in the Nerf Raider which allows it to shoot darts at a rapid speed, to use it, hold the trigger down and slide the cocking mechanism ( the grip like one on the bottom of the gun ) and now the raider is semi automatic, to stop, let go of the trigger.
