Try going to settings, format utility, and go to format hard disk, then go to complete format...you will want to back up your saves before you do this, because it will delete everything on your playstation but should fix the problem.
to fix a play station 2/3 game you can put it in the freezer for about 5 minutes.
80GB PS3s can not play PS2 games. NO MATTER WHAT. Do not listen to anyone that says they can play them.
maybe the saved game is messed up i always backup my saved games on my computer. if your saved game doesn't work there is a small chance you can fix it

Buy a PS3. It is the only Playstation that reads blue ray discs and the discs are for the PS3 and could not be played on a PS2 if they could be read
The UMD drive might be broken, and it's hardly a user-servicable part. You'd need to get someone who knows what they are doing to take a look at it.
you fix it or let someone fix it for u or burn it
take it to any game store and have them fix it
The only way I can think that it would be possible to fix it is your PS3, otherwise it is broken. You need to clean the laser, either by disassembling the blue ray drive and cleaning the laser manually (not recommended unless you're desperate), or by using a cleaner disc. You can probably buy cleaner discs at your local electronics store.
2 ways: 1: get a new one 2:take it to the video game repair guy
The game that not works with simply downloading, you must buy it.
