If your cat is lethargic, get it to a vet right away. This means they probably have a very high fever and have some sort of infection or bacteria that is going to need treatment.

If you suspect a cat has been poisoned, take it to a vet immediately! Even a small amount of poisoning can be fatal to a cat if not taken care of as soon as possible.

Generally that is fear. Your cat may be in pain, cats do not know why they are in pain and might show signs of severe pain by acting like this. Sounds like it is vet time.

You should not normally be able to see obvious breathing or panting in a cat (unlike a dog). If your cat is panting, it may be because of stress or a respiratory/heart problem. If your cat continuous to pant, consult your vet.

Cats do not normally pant - it can mean stress, pain or a heart/respiratory problem. If your cat continues to pant, you should consult your vet.
