Are you sure the EGR valve is bad? I have a 96 Paseo and thought I needed a new 1 but the only problem was insufficient air flow, after soaking it in carb cleaner and blowing out all the gunk(carbon build-up) it worked fine and I was able to put it back on the car. Good luck.
burning with insufficient oxygen........
When Carbon reacts with an insufficient supply of oxygen, bonds form and create CO (carbon monoxide)
Carbon monoxide is produced when a fuel is burning with an insufficient oxygen supply.
P0401 indicates an insufficient flow of gases through the EGR system. While Honda EGR valves occassionally fail, your first step should be to check if the EGR is operating when vacuum is applied. If so, remove it and clean the orifice with brake cleaner. While you have it off, clean the intake porting with carb cleaner and a stiff wire brush. Carbon build up in either the EGR or the intake will set this code.
Carbon is clogging the egr port.
Yes, one of the symptoms of insufficient oxygen levels can be headache.
I think hydrogen is cleaner than CNG bcoz, CNG contains carbon. So, it may release carbon di oxide or carbon mon oxide.
The 'problem' of 'this problem' is not understood.
We have a carbon tax to encourage polluters to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide they emit. If they have to pay for it then they will search for cleaner and greener ways of running their industries.
