Do you mean to say that you are considering performing surgery on your dog YOURSELF? That is a horrible idea. It's one of the worst ideas I've ever heard. You can't go cutting your dog open all by yourself. You'd have to be out of your mind to try such a thing. You'll end up killing the poor animal. Only a qualified veterinary surgeon can operate on animals.

what? no, it won't grow back! r u crazy? it will just leave a scar!
Magically? No. However, dogs do have regenerative qualities similar to any other mammal. If you cut a dog's leg off, it will not grow back. If the dog bites his toenail off, that will grow back. The dog must be alive in order for its wounds to heal. This is crucial. Dead puppies aren't much fun.
Yes, dog's whiskers do grow back.
Yes dog eyelashes grow. I sometimes have the groomer trim back my dog's eyelashes, even though I love the long eyelashes, they do sometimes interfere with the dog's vision. They grow back quickly!

== == Possibly. You should definitely talk to your vet though!!! not to scare you but it could be a tumor or cut and could get infected. It's not a tick. It sounds like a cut that has become infected.
No, it is not normal and the dog should be checked by a veterinarian in case it is a cancerous tumor.
yes, my dog mav had very long whiskers so i decided to get them cut and they grew back in 2-3 weeks
If a dog gets a burn, the hair may or may not grow back depending on the severity of the burn.

Surgical intervention (removal of tumor if possible) or conservative treatment (pain management) If your dog has a rectal tumor you need to consult your local vet.
Take the dog to the Vet...
