Yes , the father can get her pregnant less than about a week after the babies are born , so it is very recommended to remove the father before the birth (or/and after) so that the mother does not get pregnant again.
It is very unhealthy for a guinea pig to be pregnant again right after giving birth , she could die if she had 2 births in a row.
I guess not because we bought a guinea pig (not knowing) it was pregnant and it had its baby fine no problems cleaned it up and everything it must have gotten pregnant before PetSmart got it but we love our baby. :) I dont recommend it. My research says that if the guinea pigs get into a tussel they could eat the babies to protect them from getting hurt.
it could be that ur guinea pig is pregnant when there pregnant they dont like to be touched
you could be pregnant
Nothing. But she wont mate while she is pregnant. Guinea pigs dont mate unless they are on heat.
Take her to the vets to have an ultrasound.
Yes course you can! Just dont put boys and girls together!
no thats just dumb but some animals dont love their babies isnt that sad?
they develop a pear shaped belly and they dont want to be picked up.
it could if its a boy and girl together or it may already be pregnant whlie at the pet shop my 2 hamsters had 10 babies and they could have it many times but if ur hamsters have babies DONT TOUCH THE BABIES!
dont panick, nothing will happen just dont feed it too much and too often with lettuce
i think they dont cuz my guinea pigs dont and guinea pigs and hamsters are alot alike i think they dont cuz my guinea pigs dont and guinea pigs and hamsters are alot alike
The father guinea pig doesn't eat the babies, and neither does the mother. But always separate the father BEFORE the mother gives birth as she can become pregnant immediately after giving birth. This would be bad for her health, as her body needs some time to recover.
