There are many different types of blood tests and not all will unveil the use(s) of illegal drugs. Your Doctor will not generally order that you be tested for marijuana or other illicit drugs when you have your blood tested to determine whether or not you have a blood-clotting disorder. Most times you will be given a form to take with you to the phlebotomist (person who draws your blood to be tested). The form will be checked off as to what the doctor wants tested. You should also be able to tell then and there if the doctor has checked the box indicating that you be tested for illegal drugs.
