Food is energy. You use this energy during every day activities and exercise, with metabolism. Basically, If your body doesn't need the extra energy it will be stored for later, this is build of up fat. She is not gaining weight because she is using up the energy from the food she is eating.
No, when she gets older, she will not gain the weight from the food she is currently eating.
If she eats the same amount when she 'grows up' and at this stage her metabolism has changed, she may gain weight.
