When you start up Toontown on your free account, there will be 6 colored slots. 5 of them can only be used when you have purchased a membership for Toontown. If you press the slot that doesn't say "Members only", it leads you to the make-a-toon screen. Then you can make your toon, and continue onto the game. You MUST click the one that doesn't say "Members only" if you have a free account!

But sadly due to update in May 11, 2011, the new laff limit is 27 laff because you cant choose drop or lure anymore for not members. Plus they changed the track where the highest is lvl 1 toon up or sound. Heres the new list for new limit : 15 from starting toontown 10 from toontasks in toontown central only ( since donald docks toontasks cant be picked for not members ) Last 2 are fishing if you can get 20 species.
Until what level of Gags can non-members get in Toontown?
The max level of gags for not members is level 4 because you can only go up to 1999 points not 2000. Not members can get third track up to level 4 as well too. But sadly the update toontown did in May 11, 2011 has showed. You can get throw and squirt level 4 but you cant get level 4 for toon up or sound. They stop at level 1. Toon up can go up to 19 points and sound can go up to 39 points. And you cant get 34 laff as max for not members, the new laff limit for not members is 27 because it wont let you choose drop or lure without member. Sorry guys about this confusion of this update toontown has done to you non members toons.

Anyone can join a party even non members, but if you are not a member you can not host a party. Sometimes when you can not join parties, it is probably too full or toontown is updating or has not yet have parties
