Congrats on your new Disney show "Best Friends Whenever"...how exciting! We can't wait for the premiere June 26th! What was your reaction when you heard Disney had picked up the show?

It was SO amazing hearing that the show had officially been picked up! There was a lot of screaming and calling friends! It's going to be a really amazing ride!

"Best Friends Whenever" follows teenagers Shelby and Cyd, who when a science experiment goes wrong, become unstuck in time, leaping forward and backward in time. Sounds pretty cool to me! Do Shelby and Cyd run into any obstacles while time traveling?

Of course Shelby and Cyd will run into time travel obstacles! Throughout the first season, Shelby and Cyd will learn all the rules of this newfound power and, hopefully, master it!

So how similar and/or different are you to your character Shelby on the show?

I like to think Shelby and I are very similar. Shelby and I are both very determined and want the best for everyone around us. However, Shelby is a little bit more high-strung than I. (;

If Lauren and Shelby went to the same school, do you think they would be friends?

I would DEFINITELY be friends with Shelby if we went to the same school! She's so quirky, sweet, and unselfish. Who wouldn't want to be friends with Shelby?

Why is "Best Friends Whenever" a must-see for Disney fans and television viewers everywhere?

Best Friends Whenever combines such a fun, interesting concept like time travel with such relatable and authentic girls, which makes for such a fresh, inventive show.

What's the atmosphere like on set of "Best Friends Whenever"?

The "Best Friends Whenever" set is just full of jokes, laughs, smiles, and love. We have such an incredible cast and crew!

What's Shelby's style like on the show and how does it compare to your personal style?

From what I can tell so far, Shelby is kind of preppy/bohemian and I adore her style! I, myself, am very bohemian, so it was really exciting that our wardrobe and set decoration felt the same!

Before ever landing your role in "Best Friends Whenever," you had a budding career in music and even worked with the San Diego Symphony and opened for big names like Michael Bolton, Wilson Phillips and Debbie Gibson. If you had to choose, which performance would you pick to be your most memorable?

I think opening for Michael Bolton was my most memorable performance. The crowd was so excited already for Michael and he was so kind to me and gave me advice for my upcoming career.

What shifted your attention to acting after having done so well in music?

My attention never really shifted to acting as much as I just found a newfound interest in it. Music has and will always be extremely close to my heart and I'm still working on it every day. I've always had such an interest in art and the replication and reproduction of beauty through one's eyes.

Fans also loved you as Harper Rich in the Netflix original series "Richie Rich." What was your favorite part about the show and what do you miss the most?

My favorite part about being on Richie Rich was playing Harper! She's so different from Shelby and it's so exciting to play a character that is so opposite of myself!
