Yes land line telephones do work if even if there is a power cut. if it is a cordless phone. They need electrical power to transmit from the base to the handset.
Older speaker models may not have "video shielding" which means the magnetic field created by the speaker magnet is not blocked. These speakers can not be placed next to traditional televisions without creating color spots.
I'm guessing the word you're looking for is speaker bag. It's something you would put stereo speakers into to carry them around without damaging them.
Cordless phones became popular because they didn't restrict a caller to a small space while talking on the phone. Cordless means, literally, "without cord". Cordless products do not rely on a current, whether the current is provided by an electrical outlet or the mini-wiring inside a telephone cord. However, the cordless phones have a base unit which must be plugged into an electrical outlet. Each handset operates on battery and a Hertz signal. Alas, many families lost interest in both regular desk or wall telephones and cordless phones with the introduction of cell phones.

Building a box behind your speakers, often referred to as a speaker enclosure, can enhance sound quality by optimizing the speaker's performance and reducing unwanted resonance. However, it's not always necessary; many speakers are designed to perform well without additional enclosures. Protection from damage can be achieved through other means, like using speaker covers or placing them in safe locations. Ultimately, the need for a box depends on the specific speakers and the desired sound quality.
The panel that goes over the speaker can pop off, but its pretty hard to do without breaking the clips that hold it in. I changed the speakers in mine and ended up just breaking the panels off. The speakers i put in are visible but it works fine.
