Be smart when it comes to your heart. Your heart is a muscle that needs to be exercised just the same as any other muscle. Doing cardiovascular exercise 2-3 times per week is essential for proper heart health. Exercise so that you are working at least 60%-70% of your maximum heart rate for at least 20 minutes. Many health experts even recommend 30 minutes or more. This will keep your heart muscles in great shape and help prevent coronary artery disease.
