Many expectant parents use these clinics to take pictures of their unborn baby and determine the sex of the fetus. In addition, most ultrasound techs will work a normal forty hour work week. However, if you work in a hospital you may work a different shift or be on call for emergencies. Ultrasound techs are paid hourly, and the pay can range from $20 to $45 an hour. You pay will vary based on experience and location.
