Ingredients
- 1 c Young carrots pared and
- Sliced crosswise 1 1/2 c Sliced raw apples
- 1 ts Grated orange rind
- 1 c Sugar
- 3 tb Flour
- 1/8 ts Cinnamon
- 1/8 ts Nutmeg
- 1/2 c Seedless raisins
Cook carrots in salted water until barely tender. Mix all ingredients lightly. Put into pastry lined pie pan, sprinkle with 1 tsp flour and dot with 1 tsp butter. Cover with pastry. bake about 30 minutes in a very hot oven, 425 or until apples are tender
