Have baking bowl .

Place a pastry in the base.

Place over the pastry the apples ( cut cored and quartered).

Place another layaer over the apples.

Perforate the top of the pastry to allow gas/steam to vent whilst baking.

Bake in an oven for approximately 25 minutes.

If no top pastry is put on, and then cooked it is a 'flan' or 'tart'.
