The HTC Magic home screen can be customized quite easily using these tips to add shortcuts, applications, and widgets.

First, tap a portion of the home screen that is empty so that the menu pops up. From that menu, depending on what you want to add to the home screen choose one of the icons labeled, "Application," "Widget," or, "Shortcut." When the menu opens for the item you want to add, tap the widget, shortcut or application, and it adds that item's icon to the home screen automatically.

To remove a widget, application or a shortcut, find what you want to remove and touch and hold its icon, and then slide it to the trash can on the home screen and the icon is removed.
