Doha, Qatar holds over 80% of the nation’s population. The less that two hundred year old city has seen its share of hard times but recovered with the discovery of oil. The no less than 60 degree Fahrenheit temperature climate have tourists running to the coastal Persian Gulf.

Now days the city pumps on average 800,000 barrels of oil each day making Doha, Qatar headquarters of the country’s largest gas and oil companies. Its city’s success has helped finance the Qatar National Museum that opened in 1975, but its location was originally the ruler’s palace in 1912. Tourists can get a taste of the authentic Arabic culture here. While the city is rich in business and beaches for visitors, Doha, Qatar looks to expanding on their known city by adding in a Museum of Islamic Art, a unique looking sports museum called Aspire Tower, and the artificial island called Pearl-Qatar.

Visitor looking to dive into a rich Arabic culture will find that Doha, Qatar suits their needs and is also expanding into more of a tourist attraction location.
