If you ever take a trip to the Republic of Cameroon, check out Douala which just happens to have the largest port and the international airport, both in the largest city.

Hikers get ready because an active volcano, known as Mount Cameroon is right there for you to conquer. Animal lovers can feast their eyes on many varieties of African wildlife at the Lobeke National Park. Sometimes referred to as “the armpit of Africa”, Douala is also home to the Baka pygmies. View many of the local artifacts at one of the municipal or maritime museums. Stroll through the Eko Market, dubbed as the biggest in Cameroon, where you can choose from some of the local fare. Douala comes alive at night, with nightclubs that sometimes stay open all the time, local bars or the ever popular casinos.

The climate in Douala is decidedly tropical, so after you have seen all the sights, stroll the black sand beaches and experience the best that Douala has to offer.
