Dunedin is the one of the largest cities of New Zealand’s South Island. This city has a proud Scottish heritage. This can be seen in the name of the city, since Dunedin is derived from a Gaelic translation of Edinburgh. Dunedin is also known for its beautiful architecture and extensive wildlife reserves.

The wildlife reserves make this a great destination for ecotourism. Many wildlife tours and related attractions can be found here. Natures Wonders Naturally is one of the options when choosing a local eco-tour. This conservation group takes visitors around the reserve in an all-terrain vehicle. One may enjoy the ride and scenery, while observing wildlife in its natural state. Some sightseeing attractions are the one hundred year old statue of the poet Robert Burns and the architecture near the city center.

Dunedin, New Zealand is a city filled with history and culture. Both Eco-tourists and sightseers will find this to be a memorable destination. One should not miss a chance to visit Dunedin.
