Dietary support for weight loss
Dietary Supplements for Weight LossLosing weight can be extremely difficult, but fortunately there are a number of dietary supplements available that can help speed up the process in a way that also supports your overall health.
L-CarnitineL-Carnitine is a substance your body uses to burn fatty acids for the generation of energy. It is often used as a nutritional supplement to provide an energy lift and burn fat. Most cells have mitochondria- tiny furnaces that burn fuel for your body. L-Carnitine helps transport fat to the mitochondria so it can be used as fuel. It is not a "magic bullet", however- it must be used in conjunction with sensible eating to get the most benefit.
Your own body is able to manufacture limited amounts of L-Carnitine using the amino acids methionine and lysine, as well as vitamins like B6, niacin, and vitamin C. However, any deficiency in these nutrients can result in lower production of carnitine, and the lowered energy levels and fat burning that result from the deficiency.
You can also get your requirements for L-Carnitine in the foods you eat. It is found primarily in meat and animal products. Sources include red meat, turkey, and chicken. Dairy products also contain small amounts. Most fruits and veggies contain little carnitine, with the exception of avocados and tempah.
Lipoic AcidIncreasing your energy levels with L-Carnitine is important, but so is preventing some of the negative effects created at the cellular level. As each cell burns fat, it also can create oxidative stress that damages cells. Lipoic acid is known as the "antioxidant's antioxidant". Antioxidants help neutralize molecules known as "free radicals" that can damage healthy cells and tissue. Taken in conjunction with L-Carnitine, lipoic acid helps antioxidants regenerate as they protect cells, in addition to being a potent antioxidant in its own right.
FiberIf you are looking to lose weight, getting more fiber into your diet is very important. A meal with fiber makes your stomach feel full longer and assists in digestion. Good sources are apples, nuts, and beans.
Eating ice does not cause diabetes
I think eating healthily will reduce the chance of diabetes
No eating watermelon does not cause diabetes. Eating sugar does not cause diabetes, I think it has to be inherited, but not really sure though. Hope this helped.
Eating
The causes of diabetes aren't entirely known. Some are born with it and others develop it due to poor eating habits. You can control your diabetes by eating healthy and exercising.
You can be born with diabetes. It is called Type 1. Type 2 diabetes you get when you are unhealthy and are not eating properly.
You can find more information about diabetes and healthy eating at the Mayo Clinic website, www.mayoclinic.com or also at www.learningaboutdiabetes.com.
1 diabetes is diabetes that you are born with. 2 diabetes is a type that you get later in life usually related to eating bad food like junk food.
Diabetes may be genetic and or hereditary. You can also get diabetes from poor eating habits, and little to no physical activity. If your family has a history of diabetes, there may be nothing you can do to stop it.
Exercise, being informed, eating healthy, treating the diabetes the way you should.
It can be genetic or it can come from eating a lot and not exercising.
Not by itself. But poor eating habit can lead to overweight which is a contributing factor to diabetes.
