The past decade has seen explosive growth in the number of the MBA programs offered fully or even partially online. UNC recently unveiled MBA@UNC, its all online MBA program. With MBA@UNC, the university intends to maintain the respect that the UNC MBA has carried for decades, while making the program more accessible for greater numbers of people. MBA@UNC "meet" at specific times twice each week in a group setting, as students also complete individual and team projects.

American InterContinental University Online is the all online version of this private school that also targets adult, working professionals. AIU also offers several MBA programs, each concentrating on different areas of business and health care administration. AIU requires individual and team assignments, as well as weekly participation in group discussions.

These are three of the current top ten online MBA programs. Accreditation Notes

A decade ago, there were few online programs that were regionally accredited, which is the highest level of academic accreditation. That is not the case today. All of the current leading programs are regionally accredited, and most others are as well. Those considering any online MBA program certainly need to ensure that the program is regionally accredited, but that is a routine matter today.
