Home phones have now largely been done in. Most people have just found that they no longer require this technology. Instead, we can all use cell phone service as our home phone as well. With a cell phone, you are going to pay one monthly bill to the cell phone provider. This is better than having to pay the home phone provider plus extra taxes that are attached to having a home phone. In other words, there are many situations when a home phone service might be just as expensive as a cell phone. That is true even though the home phone is not portable. Just save yourself some money and go with a cell phone instead.
