First of all you did not provide a model number for the some alarm, but I looked at some models that I found online it looks like some have a front door that you can open up with out taken it off the wall eaither by swing it upen or pushing the door open.

∙ 11y agoRemove the old battery. Then reverse the procedure; once you have determined the method of removing the cover. Some twist off, some have to be 'squeezed' to unhinge the snap tab.
