When you go on vacation do you search for certain shops or stores in the area before you go there? If you do, you are not alone. Many people have certain requirements and certain stores they look in unfamiliar places. If you want to find bakeries in the town you plan on visiting on vacation, do some research ahead of time.
If you are going to visit a town called Murphy, go on-line and find Murphy’s chamber of commerce website, or their visitor’s center website. Some towns have both, some have only one. There will normally be a listing of restaurants, accommodations, tourist attractions, entertainment and stores/shops. Click on the stores/shops category and search for bakeries. You may be surprised how many you will find. If you get a list of a few bakeries, print out the information for each one so you will have the addresses.
If you are staying at a rental cottage or cabin, you can ask the person at the rental office which of the bakeries they prefer. They might tell you that one closed, even though they are still listed on-line. That happens sometimes so it’s best to check with someone. That person might also tell you that ABC Bakery makes fantastic apple pies, but Our Bakery makes the best bagels or rye bread. That information can be important if you are visiting the bakeries for particular items such as pies or bagels.
If you have friends or neighbors that have visited Murphy recently, you can ask them if they went to any of the bakeries in town. They may remember exactly what items they bought and if they would buy them again. A personal reference is always good.
You might have to take into consideration that some bakeries are located in grocery stores. They are usually mass produced items and may not qualify as good baked good to some people. The products they sell usually don’t compare to the high quality items sold in bakeries.
Don’t give up on your hunt for bakeries in an unfamiliar place. Maybe the best bakery in the world is right around the next corner and the guy at the gas station may be the one to point you in their direction
Thank you

That is a very good question, one could use the yellow pages website or one could look through a directory of bakeries. Being that Brueggers is a bakery and cafe type of place in most locations, one can use different methods to help find legitimate directories for search request.

There are plenty of bakers with small home based businesses (especially in the US) who make specialty cake pops and of course bakeries that carry cake pops. Just do an online search for cake pops in your city/town with zip code and you should be able to find options. Etsy.com is also a good place to look for cake pop bakeries. Most of them will ship if they are not close to you.
