Jeans, who doesn’t own at least one pair of blue jeans? We wear our jeans everyplace, from the local grocery store to the high end clothing shop. People wear jeans to church, the barber shop and the local bars. Jeans are acceptable in most cases. You don’t want to wear a pair of dirty or torn jeans to your neighbor’s party. On the other hand, do you need to know how to get away with wearing a pair of jeans for a formal function? You can do it you know. It just takes a little common sense and the right pair of jeans and accessories.

If you won’t wear anything but jeans, you need to at least buy a pair or two of dress black jeans. Not the skin tight version you wear to the local country bars, but a more relaxed fitting pair of black jeans. You can leave off the big Chevy belt buckle for this function. Instead, a simple belt buckle will be more suitable for the occasion. You need to pair your jeans with a dress pair of black cowboy boots. Plain black boots would be the best option for a formal function. Add a crisp white dress shirt and a black dress jacket and you will not look out of place at a function in that outfit. The fact that you are wearing jeans will probably not be noticed by the majority of the guests.

If you really need a tuxedo, there are cowboy style tuxedos that you can buy. You just need to search online or at your favorite store where you normally purchase country style attire. A country tuxedo isn’t that much different than a regular tuxedo, except maybe the pants are cut more in favor of wearing boots compared to dress shoes. They would resemble the cut of a pair of regular denim jeans but they are made in a different material. That would give them a dressy look.

Of course, put together a nice pair of jeans with a cashmere jacket, a colorful country style shirt and you have the perfect outfit, similar to what George Strait wears to all the country music award shows.
