The iPhone is definitely one of the hottest and most advanced phones in the cell phone market right now, and there are many reasons for that. It comes with so much functionality that even the busiest of power users can get their work done on it in a relatively short period of time. However, if a user can't figure out how to insert their SIM card, the phone practically becomes a paperweight and is useless.

Locating Where the SIM Card Will Insert

On first glance, it may not seem entirely obvious where the SIM card will insert. Contrary to popular belief, the SIM card is not house internally in the phone where the battery is, like many other phones. In actuality, the slot for the SIM card is located on the outside. Turn your phone up and search the top of it for a small slit with a tiny hole on the side. This is where the SIM card will go. It is housed between the power button and headphone jack. Be sure to power your phone off before completing the process of inserting your SIM card.

Removing the SIM Card Tray and Inserting the SIM Card

It may not be immediately obvious how you would remove the tray from the iPhone, but this is where the tiny hole on the side of the tray comes in handy. Using a very thin and narrow object (paperclip, toothpick, etc.), push one end into the small hole until the tray pops out. Once this happens, pull the rest of the tray out and lay your SIM card into it. You will notice that there is really only one way that the SIM card can fit to the tray so that it is difficult to jam your SIM card in the iPhone.

Once you've laid your SIM card in the tray, use your fingers to insert it back into the slot and push it in. Once the SIM card has been inserted completely, turn your phone back on to ensure that it was properly inserted. If there is no SIM card found, repeat the process again.
