How to Install a Com-Pak Wall Heater?

If you have a home that was built a long time ago, you might have a room that does not have any heat directly put into them, or you might simply want to include more heat into a room that does not seem to get enough. Whatever the reason, you may benefit from installing a Com-Pak wall heater in the room that needs more heat in it.

1. The first thing you must do is figure out where you will install the wall heater. You do not want it to be within half a foot of any kind of surface or fixture, and if you want to simplify the steps of wiring, you would ideally place your wall heater near an outlet.
2. Measure how large your heater box is, or you can instead use the measurements that are listed in the directions. Wherever you plan to install the wall heater, you should then outline your box on the wall. Use a drywall saw to trace the outline and cut the hole.
3. Once this has been done, you can remove the cover where the outlet is going to wire and take the outlet out of its packaging. Take out the corners of the box so you can run the wires through.
4. Use a pair of screws to affix the box to the hole you cut earlier. Take the wire and place it through the corner of your wall box. Before you connect it to the outlet, you should connect it to the heater first.
5. Take the heater that you have inserted into the box in the wall and affix it using the screw that the packaging came with. After you have done this, you can replace the cover on the heater in the box in the hole and take the screws to secure its position in the wall so it will hold the cover.
6. Lastly, you will need to take the wires and affix them to the outlet. After you do this, you should put them back together with the cover just like you originally found them before beginning this project. You should now be able to function your heater with a simple knob.
