Having both the written word and picture will help the preschool children see and learn the words associated with the craft supplies.
Line Containers across a Bookcase: Containers can be lined across a book case or stacked upon each other on a desk or other sturdy surface. Be sure that the containers are low enough for preschoolers to easily access the bins and place them back. On the outside of the bookcase shelves (directly below where the boxes will be kept) place a matching sign for each container. This sign should also include the word and picture associated with the materials in each container. When the children are finished using a bin of craft supplies, they can look at the sign on the front of their bin and match it with the sign on the bookcase. This is a great way to organize craft supplies in a preschool classroom.
